VO standards

National Virtual Observatory
The VO makes it convenient for researchers to compare ALFALFA datasets with surveys at other wavelengths. Query results under the search options can be retrieved as a VO Table, and analyzed with VO tools and software.

Cone Search

A Cone Search allows a user to perform pointed searches within a given radius. The service has a URL for use in a programmatic interface, and a form can be found here.

Survey status

Survey progress can be tracked at the ALFALFA Survey Status page.

The above Aitoff projection in equatorial coordinates shows the coverage of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the planned ALFALFA coverage, and the data released so far. The map is centered at R.A.=12h00m00s, Decl.=00d00'00'' (J2000). Click the map for a larger view. Data releases will be added to this site in the coming months. Other comparisons can be made through VO Footprint services.
